RID UK Ltd has a new service available for RoHS compliance screening. Using state of the art technology already embraced by leading manufacturers we are able to offer an elemental testing service for components, circuit boards or complete electrical and electronic products and this provides a general indication of the presence of a banned material.

The test method used is based on XRF technology and it provides a non-destructive surface analysis of components and or products. This details levels of lead, Mercury, Cadmium as well as total Chromium and total Bromine. Further destructive analysis may be required if clients are looking for specific RoHS verification or to determine levels of Hexavalent Chromium or the banned Brominted flame retardants.
